    Argos are selling off the LG G3 (16 GB) smartphone (unlocked) for €289.95 at the moment;

    http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/2782340.htm

    This is an excellent phone and the price can't be beaten by much, even by online stores.

    Still a few of them in stock at some Dublin stores.

    Buy it before close of business on 3rd November and they will throw in a €10 gift card (for use before 1st December).

    Roughly the same price as Amazon.

    However the €10 Argos voucher and fact that it's a physical store makes this one a better deal IMHO

    Just noted this today myself after my Galaxy S3 epically cacked itself last night (internal storage seems to have become unmountable, think crashed HDD in a PC, but less serviceable :(), including the fact that it had dropped by about €35 in the last few days, semi-conveniently.

    Had been holding out hope for the Oneplus X but picked this up about an hour or two ago instead as needed a phone fast, and spec wise they aren't a million miles apart. Also grabbed a decent 32GB SD card for effectively 7 quid with the voucher (just asked the sales assistant to process them as 2 transactions to use the voucher against it).

    Can't comment on the phone itself too much as it's still restoring my google backup, but even going through menus is a marked improvement on the S3

    Depending on the condition of your s3 you'll get up to 127 euros for it in cex.

    Do they ask for a phone receipt? What's their policy on gift phones that obviously come without a receipt?

    Even for an unbootable one?? :D

    Realistically it could be in better physical nick (backing quite scratched, couple of cracks in the surround frame), and I'd be very surprised if they offered much for one that can't get past the Galaxy S III splash screen! Plus I'd rooted it and installed CM on it some time ago.

    yea i should have mentioned that she said if they cant factory reset it they wont take it so an unbootable one, i doubt they would take.but one with a different rom on it,i dont think they would care.

    Nah, this is gone beyond factory reset I suspect. The recovery (clockworkmod) can't even access the internal storage to do a factory reset, or to flash a new ROM, wipe any partitions, etc. so it's for the bin I fear.

    I bought one of these the other day and I'm hoping to have it by Christmas.

    I got the 32GB US version from AliExpress and I'm hoping to have it before Christmas.

    Seems like a cracking device.

    You can get a brand new G4 for ~€330 on ebay! Down around €50 from what I paid from that shop last Oct.
