Hyundai i20 2010 Front wiper motor with linkage

    Hi guys

We are being quoted 380euro for a Front wiper motor with linkage for our Hyundai i20 year 2010.

This sounds too much for me for a wiper motor with linkage plus the labor.

What do you guys think? And do you know a cheaper place to get this done?

Buy one on ebay and do it yourself. Doesn't take too long and it's not that difficult.

doesn't sound out of the ballpark for a main dealer repair, undoubtedly it can be done cheaper elsewhere though. are you sure you need both items? i'd say it's unlikely, a second opinion from an independent garage may be no harm.

is there not a 5 year warranty on that car? i know we're near the end of '15, but would you not push for a bit of goodwill if you've been getting it serviced through the dealer. Hyundai seem reasonably flexible that way once the customer has a bit of a relationship with the brand, they wouldn't be unknown to offer the parts, or at least 50% on parts etc, which might make it worthwhile to get it done at a main dealer.

Is it the motor that's gone or just the linkage? If just the linkage you can buy a repair clip for £5 off Amazon. I bought one and worked great

Was just about to say the same. My linkage went due to turning on the wipers on an iced windscreen. Bought one off eBay and fitted after googling the YouTube video.

Genuine Hyundai parts are extremely expensive, as you are now finding out.
