Drove through the m50 toll 3 weeks ago and forgot to pay the toll straight away. I remembered a few days later but when I tried to pay online, the website said that I needed to wait for the fine notification and code in the post and then pay. No sign of any correspondance from them until friday, when I got a letter to say that because I hadn't paid the first fine, I now owe €47.10  What's the best course of action? No way am I paying that amount.

Phone them and explain and most likely they will reduce the fine and accept payment over the phone

As above, ring them. They are very reasonable with issues like this.

They are fantastic to deal with.
If you explain, they will most likely
let you off with about 12 quid.

Even offer to set up a video account with them. Its free and you'll never forget the m50 toll again.
