Malta Young Family in January

Hi All

We are planning to go to Malta in January for 5 too 7 days - not sure what area/hotels.

Main Criteria

1 Child friendly - kids are 1 & 4 years.
3 Nice hotel - N.B. pool & sauna - nice surroundings and food.

We are just looking to relax - maybe go for few day trips or go for walk around local towns etc.

Look at Sliema or St Julians. Good location and excellent bus links to rest of the Island.

Buggiba is one of the main holiday resorts in Malta but is generally dead outside of peak season so best avoided. The weather is quite bad in January there, with rain and wind quite similar to Ireland. Still worth the visit though

Hiring a car is extremely cheap in malta and it's such a small island to travel around. The scenery in Gozo is beautiful. St. Julians for the nightlife and valetta for the city. As advised about, bring jumpers and coats.

Thanks for your reply. Am not tied to Malta if weather not great - any suggestions for other countries?

Malta is dead in January even sliema a lot of places close
