    hi

I bought a ROK power washer today to clean my garden patio each week after my dog smells it up.

In the store they had detergent for the washer which was expensive. Do I need to use that only or has anyone here used a multi purpose cleaner?

I was thinking of using flash floor cleaner with it. Bad idea?

    Thanks

Don't know about ROK but I've used household detergents in a Karcher many times over the last 10 or so years without any problem.
Just make sure to wash the little filter where it sucks up the detergent (to keep it from corroding) and rinse out the bottle after use.

I've used washing up liquid, flash, bleach, all sorts.

I never use detergent with pressure washer on paving/concrete, I find it unnecessary as the water jet does the work. If you want to sterilise the area you could soak the patio with a solution of Jeyes fluid (or something less smelly) then wash that off with the washer.

the detergant bottle just makes a foam that you can leave sit for a while, on my one anyway you don't actually use the detergent while you powerhose.
