Got a brief report that an aircraft of unknown type but probably a private small plane has disappeared SW of the Isle of Man. Looking at AIS it does appear that Rescue 116 is in a search pattern and two lifeboats, one from the IoM and one from Northern Ireland, are on their way to the scene.

Rescue 116 back to Dublin and Newcastle lifeboat heading back to base according to a post elsewhere. Kilkeel lifeboat also was out apparently.

Port St Mary lifeboat on the island was out too.

Kinloss got a signal from an aircraft that it was in trouble, and started an alert and broadcast a Mayday in the area for assistance
