    Don't take everything you read on an internet forum as true for you.

    At least as important is to understand that the market for people providing such professional services is not regulated, and any cowboy can set themselves up in business as an accountant/ tax advisor.

    The buck stops with you for ensuring your tax return is right, so make sure it IS a proper professional you're paying...!
