If you were offered the chance to be cryogenically frozen and thawed in the future

As per the thread title... Frozen and then thawed out some time later, say 500-1000 years. A deliberate Futurama scenario ... Would you do it? What do you expect you'd wake up to?

I saw a documentary about this once. Bad language was banned, people shat in crustaceans and Nigel Hawthorne wore a dress

I really don't see the world going 500-1000 years without another world war. It's only been 70 years since the end of the last one and there's already been at least a couple of close shaves. And I think it's going to be in a shambles for quite a while afterwards. All you could hope for really is that it had been long enough since it happened that things were back in some kinda vaguely non horrific state and that the zombies had eaten all the cannibals and that the mutants took them out and then starved to death.

I'd still probably do it though.

Well it depends on who's asking, I mean if it's the guy on the bus beside me who's wearing the battered old wedding jacket, smells a bit like Sudocreme and can't seem to keep both eyes pointing the same direction, then I'd be tempted to decline.

Would I be allowed keep any of our (probably primitive) tools? You see I've seen those documentaries like 'Waterworld' and 'Mad Max' so would need to be somewhat equipped!

probably a bad idea, unless you can speak Chinese you're going to have a rough time from 2035 onward.

In Mad Max 2 people could still source oil, by Mad Max 3 they were back to pig dung. In Waterworld they were scraping the bottom of the barrel.

If I'm getting frozen I'm making damn sure I'm taking an oil refinery worker with me.
