Vodafone appear to be giving users free calls to all mobiles and landlines within Ireland, all day, Saturday 31 October.

    Fair play!

Jasus, they're really going all out, aren't they !

They've added 1440 minutes to my account and I intend to use every one of them :)

It's Vodafone's way of saying "we realise we're the most expensive network in Ireland but here's some free minutes most of our customers won't use on Hallowe'en, Christmas and Steven's Day!"

they've done it for a few different times as well which is a nice touch.

As a Vodafone customer I've actually had very little problems since signing up. The network is damn good, and whilst the support call centre is in Egypt, they are very good and much better than most overseas call centres.

I moved over from 3 myself earlier in the year as the signal at home wasn't great (thankfully I wasn't impacted by all the outages) but VF are a lot more expensive for less (I'm paying €35 on a SIM only plan, tied to a 12 month contract with a 6GB data limit whereas on 3 it was €25, unlimited data and a 30-day rolling contract) and their 4G is pretty poor in most of the places I do be (presumably oversubscribed). Signal at home is no better but I got one of their Access Points that uses your broadband on adverts only to have them throw a bit of a strop when I asked something about it because I didn't buy it from them.

Thinking of moving back when the contract is up as eircom's billing/support operations are a disaster - was with them previously too and had nothing but issues :(
