I'm looking for a broadband only plan but need a landline for a security alarm dialler, which dials a preset list of numbers in the event of the burglar alarm being activated. This would be the only type of call made.

What would be the best plan for this?

Upgrade your alarm to a GSM one and drop the landline. Youll save money long term and its arguably more secure.

I would but it'd cost €670 and I'll probably be moving house within next two years

A GSM jammer is only slightly more expensive than a pair of wire cutters.

Yeah but Joe Scaldy McBurglar is less likely to own the former than the latter.

OP Vodafone Home Broadband is your best bet most likely.

I would've thought that too but their Broadband Only plan doesn't allow for calls to be made, which the alarm dialler would need

I was suggesting with a calls package. They're still cheaper than eir usually and arent crap like the smaller resellers.
