TT bike - new di2 brake levers

I was thinking of getting this bike: https://www.cyclesuperstore.ie/shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=88409

But I then i noticed the brake levers aren't di2, they are just standard ones.

Anyone know if it is a lot of hassle to replace them myself after I buy it with di2 ones? Or how much shop would charge to do it?

Di2 is for the gears, not the brakes. On a TT bike the brakes are separate from the shifters and there's no "Di2 brake levers" to put on it, so there's nothing to replace.

Di2 shift enabled brake levers (ie if you want to shift from the brakes as well as the extensions) are around 250 for the ultegra ones. You will probably need a 5 port junction box although there might already be one on it. 2 short di2 cables also to connect your levers to the junction box.

Job is easy but it will mean recabling your brakes which is easy if you are handy.

Sorry Beasty, I probably didn't phrase the question all that well.

Thanks, at least I know it won't break the bank. I wouldn't be that handy with the bike maintance by maybe this would be a good time to start.

Buy the Di2 Break Levers first, then bring them into the shop and get them to sort it out for you.

Alternatively, you could place the Sprinter Shifters near the brakes, and just need to replace the bar tape. You'll only be able to shift the rear though. Could make for a nice GCN Bodge/Hack of the week. :P
