Doesn't matter, the idea is to pick a team based on the province they're from rather than where they play now

    Is Henshaw not from Athlone?

Hailing from that part of Dublin Bay that edges onto the Sea of Galilee, I know it well.

Yes and part of Athlone is in Roscommon. His school, Marist, and club, Bucaneers, both play their rugby under the Connacht provincial system so he would be considered a Connacht player

I'd have Ross, Cronin in there at the very least.

In the purpose of this thread Henshaw and Carty would be seen as a Westmeath men though
Replace Henshaw with Eoin Griffin and Jack Carty with... Umm... Not sure

But in all terms of rugby they are Connacht. Province of origin in rugby is Connacht

Carty played minor football for Roscommon so assume he'd be ok to keep in their, forgot about Griffin he'd def get a spot in the team

Ya this is the way I was looking at it

Yes I know - but the OP says "from province"
Henshaw is a Westmeath man - so he is not from Connacht
I'm not arguing what you think I'm arguing ha - he is a Connacht Rugby player (played schools/ club/ academy all under Connacht run comps - Marist and Buccs) - but for this one topic he can't be included I'm afraid :)

    Oh did he?
Did Layden play for Roscommon or Westmeath minors?

Roscommon, but according to his Wikipedia page he was born in Dublin so not sure if we can claim him :)

Layden, Carty and Qualter all played on the same minor team apparently

He's from Athlone, but isn't half of Athlone in Roscommon, i.e. Connacht? Where is the border? The Shannon? Anyone know what side of the border he lived?

[EDIT]Ah, just seeing he represented Westmeath at minor level so I guess that settles it.
