I have got a cheque off the hse for family over - payment in the same pharmacy. Where is the best place to cash it or will I have to go to the bank. Could I go to Ulster back and try cash it because that's the bank that issued under

    Is the cheque crossed ?

If not, either the Bank (and Branch) of issue, or your own local Branch. If you are known on a local shop, they might do it for you.
