Bluetooth Keyboard Issue- Mac Mini

    Hi All,

I bought a mac mini yesterday with a magic mouse and Acme BK01 keyboard.

Mac is intended to be used with my TV and seat is about 11 foot away.

I am having serious issues with the keyboard it's bluetooth enables and it will not hold a connection with the mac for more than 2 minutes at any time. While the magic mouse is flying and I have had no problems with that at all.

I have deleted keyboard and repaired on several occasions with no result! Would anyone know the problem here?

This is extremely annoying as I have this mac 2 days now and have not strung more than 3 words together. Wired mouse and keyboard is not an option

    Thanks,
    Gary

Keyboard could be broken? Might need a new one. Or the signal is too weak.

See its working for a small amount of time which means I don't think it's broken.

Manufactor says it can work up to 10 meters away, is the signal ultimately weak from the mac mini?

They'd tell you it can work 2km away if they had a worry you'd return it! I don't think so, Mac wifi and Bluetooth is very good so I'd be surprised if it was the Mac. Try pick up an apple keyboard and see if that works. If it does you're sorted if not send it all to Apple for repair or replacement.

Have you plugged the keyboard into a USB port and allowed it to fully charge ?
