    So have a few questions regarding this what is the device you use to measure water usage?

    The Meter devices that we use to measure water usage across Ireland are as follows:

    Diehl Altair Composite Concentric (Dn15) Meter and;
    Itron Aquadis+ DN15 Meter.

    does it have an additional monitoring tool in the case if there are access issues?

    There is no additional monitoring tool in the meters.

    However, meter readings are visible on Irish Water bills and are also available to view on an Irish Water online account.

    Please see wtr.ie/OnlineAcc if you wish to set up an Irish Water online account.

    is there a water forgiveness system in place for leaks,extremely high consumption etc?

    Each Meter has a Constant Flow Alarm which is triggered when 6 litres of water passes through the meter for a consecutive 48 hour period.

    why do you do the driveby readings every three months as opposed to every month?

    Meters are read quarterly to align with our Billing Cycles.

    what is the lifetime for the meter?

    The battery life of the meter is 15 years.

    I hope you find this information useful. If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Kind regards,
    Kim
