2nd razor

Hi, I have been using a Muhle R89 since changing from cartridge shaving and would now like to try something more aggressive. What would you recommend for my second razor? I was thinking slant or adjustable.

The Merkur Progress is probably the best adjustable.

Merkur Progress long handle arrived today from shaving.ie along with a bunch of Speick products (love Speick). Just had first shave with it on no1 setting and even at its safest setting it has given me a really nice shave. The longer handle felt more comfortable and it looks like a very well engineered razor - very pleased with it on first impressions.

i have the progress i use it with el cheapo shaving stick a good boar brush and feather blades
its changed how i feel about shaving from a chore to a pleasure

Vintage Gillette HD Rocket are great razors and a lot of great examples can be had for not too much. I got the heaviest, cleanest one I could find a few years back and think it's a superb razor.
