    Hi folks.

Our washing machine has been acting up for the last few weeks.

Started with the fabric softener not leaving the tray during the wash cycle, then recently its not draining after every wash.

I took out the tray, scrubbed out the inside of the machine to clear any blockages that may be there (youtube help video) but it hasnt helped.

Can anyone recommend me a repairer in the West County Dublin area?

A PM is fine. It would have to be an evening or weekend call out.

    Cheers.

Is it leaving it still with fabric conditioner or water and fabric conditioner ?

    Make and Model?

I've seen many times blockages on the main outlet of the drum.

Disconnect the machine and take outside.
Lie machine down on 1 side
Remove rear access panel or gain access from underside, whatever's easier
Open the large jubilee style clip which attaches the main rubber outlet from the underside of the drum
Remove coins, buttons, material, bus receipts, and all other gunk.
Reattach the fitting and that's it.

    Tools needed: a screwdriver!

No harm checking the waste motor also to ensure the impellers have not gathered any crap ( thread from material and the like ), although the main culprit usually proves to be the waste collector under the drum.

There will most likely be a plastic ball inside the contraption; make sure you put this back in!

Just the fabric softener, doesnt appear to be getting diluted at all.

Its a Zanussi, model number ZWF 1431S.

If I felt comfortable taking it apart I would just go to youtube and start digging at it however I don't hence the thread, thanks for the suggestion though!

if the w/m isn't taking down the softener and you have removed the detergent dispenser and thoroughly cleaned and checked it by filling it up with water to the top with water from the tap when it should then syphon out you then have a faulty solenoid valve which a service engineer can replace for you. as regards dodzy s advice you need to be more careful doing a diy on the wm, if you take it outside remove the filter and let off all the water before you lay it on its side otherwise water may waterlog the pressure switch and always only lay the machine one the soapbox side because if you lay it on the other side if there are any traces of water in the soapbox it will make its way onto the pcb control panel which will cause it to blow as soon as it is plugged back in
