Stove Installation

    Hello,

I'm renovating my garage into an apartment. I have bought a 7kw stove with no boiler which I intend to install by running the double skin flue up the wall internally and then running it out the cavity block wall. The flue will protrude out the front of the house (not the gable end) and then up.

My question is can anyone tell me if I have the flue 1/2m above the gutter line, will there be an issue with a back draft? I had a conversation with the sales rep of the stove and he said standard practice is to run the flue above the ridge line of the house.

    Thanks,

    David
