Solved: Can't access Alipay account but can pay for items on Aliexpress?

Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem.

I login into Aliexpress using my facebook account which could be the cause of my problem.

I am able to buy items no problem, but i cant access my Alipay account!

When I click Open Alipay wallet, or Alipay account from My Aliexpress page,
It brings me to this page, which is for new users to register:

https://intl.alipay.com/user/activateEmail.htm

I notice it looks for information like a passport or national ID number,
I did not need any of these when adding my credit card to aliexpress.


Its as if alipay is not properly tied to my facebook email address even though it should be.

Which is worrying because i cannot remove or change my credit card details.

I have tried resetting the alipay password, but it says my email address is not registered, even though its the same email address i use for aliexpress / facebook.

There is no option to login to alipay using facebook either.

There is also no way of modifying credit card details from Aliexpress.

Anyone else face this problem?

I have emailed alipay support but im not expecting any results! :pac:

Turns out that it was just a verification process which needs more details before you can login to your alipay wallet.

You dont need to valid id number for passport or national ID btw.

No way would i give it to them anyway.
