I'll miss BB10 OS if it does disappear but I'll definitely get one of these to try out. I've a passport at present and love it.

Really think that the slider format is where it's at for physical keyboards.

Watched a review of it, seems a solid phone. Haven't used a blackberry keyboard before, I presume it's better than a typical onscreen?

Any networks in IRL gonna offer this one?

The mother is stuck in the past in terms of phones! Nokia C3-00 :D

She wants something with a physical keyboard, this could do the job!

I never had a Blackberry in its hey-day but am liking the look of this phone as a possible successor to my Note 4. The minimal skinning, security focus and having the keyboard option are all plus points.

Don't think so, it's something unique and not something they will offer in Ireland

It's not just a keyboard, it's touch sensitive just like touchscreen. You can use it as trackpad as well :)

    Thanks for that!

Yeah, I just realised after posting that it's a high end device too.
Don't really have the money for that tbh :D

Ah well, my search for an android with a physical keyboard goes on ...

I got it yesterday evening, It was in my parcelmotel at 10pm so I didn't use it much.

    First impression:

    - Absolutely gorgeous device
    - Very solid build and premium look
    - Curved screen is amazing
    - Keyboard is something to get used to if you are coming from the Q10/Passport or even the 9900/bold series.

Software (background: I already had BlackBerry launcher on my OP2 but I didn't have all options)

    - Better than better, they really took android to the "next level"

    Missing:
    - Nothing at the moment

    Weakness:
    - Device gets warm, but that is mentioned in every review

    Camera:
    - Going to test this in my lunch break (13.00 today) will post pics and videos later

Does it have multi window like the Samsungs?
Eg ability to have 2 or more apps open onscreen at the same time.

    - At the moment not as far as I could find.
They do have something like BB10 active frames (see picture)

Yeah it's a very interesting device and as a older BlackBerry user I'm used to the hardware keyboard and because of the passport I had I am also used to the touch sensitive keyboard which is nice because you can swipe up and down and left to remove words so you don't have to type everything.

The other benefit is that the keyboard is also a big trackpad so it's nice if you need to place a cursor somewhere in a text or just want to scroll through websites without pressing links by accident
