Changing Driver Grip to Lightweight

Just wondering has anyone done this? Im not playing as much golf and my driver is feeling a bit heavy (nearly 330g). Im thinking of putting on a 25g lightweight grip (50g is standard).

I know that changing 20g at the grip end will change the swingweight test as done at the usual point of the shaft but subjectively it shouldn't 'feel' as if swingweight has increased much right?

I only read about this a bit and I could have this arseways, but I think swing weight is about the weight ratio between one end of the club and the other end of the club around a balance point. Balance point being the point on the shaft where you could balance the club on a finger tip and it wouldn't fall over either way. And in 'swing weight', if you remove weight from the one end the other end becomes heavier in comparison. You automatically also move the balance point away from the end you took weight off. So if you remove 25g from the grip the club will probably feel heavier to you rather than lighter. And I think 25g is quite a lot in club balancing terms.
