Car insurence cert

I had a meeting with welfare inspector regarding my one parent family claim. Lady was very nice and just said its a reveiw. Just asked me to bring back a few things. One being my car insurence cert. When i originally applied for one parent family a woman came out to me. I told her that my childs father has a work van ,and doesn't own a car. We are on good terms and as i am a learner he agreed to let me put his name on the insurence and me as a named driver so my insurence wouldn't be through the roof. And i could drive our daughter to appointments etc. (She was attending hospital apts at the time) he said i can keep his name on the insurence until he gets a car himself. It is paid from my bank though obviously and have gave bank statements to show this. Just wondering would she be ok with this? Looking at it from her point it looks suspicious but i am most definitely not lying and they can inspect me anytime they like. I am living with my parents also so she knows im not one of the people whos boyfriends live with them while getting rent allowence. It just seems so messed up and i really cant afford for my claim to be stopped while she questions more things.

The social welfare department do ask for things like car insurance certificates to see if there is evidence that a person with a one-parent-family claim is on the level. From what you say, it looks like your car insurance certificate might possibly make the official question your situation. But don't worry too much, because you were upfront about in the initial interview and not trying to hide anything, so it's probably fine. If all your other documents are in order, you should be okay, and if she has any questions, she will simply ask you for further information/documents to help clarify the situation. For example, in your case, she might ask to see your ex's apartment/house lease or other documentary evidence that he definitely does live elsewhere. So you could get that type of information ready so as to speed things up, if necessary. Wishing you all the best.
