Where is best for Macnas Parade?

    Hi all
    Hoping to head into Galway later with the kids for the parade. Any recommendations on where is the best spot to view with small children.

    With kids, down by the Abbey church. There's a bit of shelter there as well.

    I presume most of the car parks will be well full hours before it starts.
