Does anyone know if it is possible to cycle the route of the Dublon City Marathon in the morning while the roads are closed and before the race starts?

interesting idea. I don't see how they'd stop you once you head out early enough

What time does it start at?

    Not exactly the wicklow 200:

Not the Wicklow 200 I know - but as a visitor to the city for the weekend I thought it would be nice to do a predefined route on closed roads early on a Bank Holiday Monday.

How did you get on? Hope you avoided the rain. The Race goes past my house in the final mile. so I watched it go by. The lead pack looked like the were barely breaking a sweat.

Decided against it as was unsure of the situation with road closures. Drove to Enniskerry instead and did a loop to Glencree and Glencullen. Always amazes me how it is possible to have such a fabulous cycling experience so close to the city.
