I've an aluminium Ridley for the last 5 years, and for the last 2 I've been on it more and more. My BTW voucher is there for the taking again, so I think I'll treat myself to a change.

    What I'm after:
    • Lets go for carbon
    • Minimum 105s
    • More endurance set up over speed/aero
    • Looks the business!

I ain't gonna be entering any races - just not my thing. Will do some of the An Post/Skoda tours, and things like that. Maybe even the Wicklow 200 come June.

Not sure how much to spend - 2k maybe or so? And lets stick to our real life bike retailer if possible and not the online only boys. I do about 150/200k a week (when I'm feeling up for it!) if that makes any difference.

Hit me with the recommendations (or questions)

If you can find one in your size I think it fits everything on your list.

Fantastic ride from all accounts. If you're considering holding out for 2016 model keep in mind some people were waiting till June/July for this model to be in stock.

Had an almost identical shopping list this time last year. I went for a Cannondale Synapse. Fantastic bike, really happy with it.

Definitely one to consider if you're after an endurance setup. Good luck with whatever you go for.

Trek Domane 4.3. I've had mine over a year now and I'm very happy with it. Has the isocoupler in the season post to take some of the sting out of the shocks from the bike up through your spine. As someone with two collapsed discs in my back, this has really worked at keeping injury at bay

Have you looked at Rose? Just ordered on myself. Online, German retailer that lets you customise the bike to your liking
