Adding Bags After Check-in

    Hi,
    I am travelling tomorrow with my wife for a week and we thought we could share a bag so when I checked in online, I said zero bags for my wife and one for myself. Now we realise that although we can fit everything in one bag, we are over the weight limit.

    Does anyone know if its possible to check in a bag at the airport with her boarding pass even though her boarding pass pass says no bags?

    What airline? It's probably cheaper to add it now and re-check in than to do it at the airport

    Log on to the booking. Add a bag and reprint the boarding pass. Less hassle than doing it at the airport I think and probably cheaper.

    It may be cheaper for the OP to pay for the additional weight on his bag rather than add a bag to his wife's ticket. All depends on the airline of course. If it was Aer Lingus and we're only talking a few kgs, I'd say and do nothing, you might get away with it.
