Yes, it's (obviously) insane, but you seem to be suggesting that all travellers should be blamed. All travellers should be made to suffer because of it?

Stop trying to put words in my mouth. My point is, how can they as a group complain about discrimination, and days later carry out this sickening act.

They talk about sorting problems out their own way, bare knuckle boxing etc. Well surely they know who the people are who are giving them a bad name. So either sort it out, or provide names and information to the gardai.

They would get a lot more respect by doing so.

There are a few travellers living in that estate, I live a couple of minutes from there. In fairness I can't say they have ever caused me or anyone I know hassle and don't seem to make **** of the place.

They don't wonder that at all. They know it's because they're travellers. That's where the whole "this is prejudice and discrimination" claim comes from. Your post is a great example of this. Because a criminal gang that contains travellers has committed a violent act you are prejudging (or being prejudiced) against another group of travellers and justifying discrimination against them solely because they are also travellers.

Does that help you understand things at all?

So when non-travellers commit crimes do they besmirch all non travellers? Or do travellers get special treatment from you?

I'm not putting words in your mouth. You're spouting ignorant, racist crap. Your point is that all travellers should be punished. You're blaming travellers as a collective for any crime committed by anyone who happens to be a traveller.
