    Hi all.
Just bought an Irish spec avensis with the "rough road" package and can't help but think the car looks like it is on stilts especially with 17" alloys on. English spec cars in turn sit a lot lower down.
Does anyone know if the uk springs will swap straight into Irish struts or do other components have to be swapped?. Thanks.

Toyota used to sell the lowering springs that could be used on the standard shocks, so I'd say fitting UK ones wouldn't be a problem.

The recommended tyres for 17s are a bit thin, sidewall wise. This compounds the problem.

I'm not 100% sure but I imagine if anything else has to be changed it would be the shocks/struts. That's because they may be too long for the shorter UK springs.

Then again, I'm no Toyota Mechanic......

Edit - Colm got in before me and to be honest, I'd trust him more than myself on Toyota's
