Any thoughts as to whether this is a bargain or not? It doesn't mention battery type at all.

Takes 4 AA batteries, not a great camera if reviews are to be believed.

Yeah I would avoid to be honest. Perhaps look second hand if you're on a tight budget.

OP, from what I've read online from the reviews it's a two year old camera with quite a lot of noise above 200iso. Also, Kodak stopped making cameras when it went into bankruptcy four years ago so I wouldn't be surprised if its made by somebody else and using the Kodak brand (paying Kodak for the name).

For €50 more you could have a second hand Canon or Nikon SLR.

Kodak is now simply an empty vessel of a company involved in royalties collection for their vast number of patents built up over their lifetime. They no longer manufacture anything of note but have flogged off their brand name as part of their bankruptcy fire sale a few years ago.

This is simply a third rate Chinese knock-off with Kodak branding.

I got a Panasonic Lumix FZ48 recently on Amazon - worked out around €150 delivered via Parcel Motel as seller would only deliver to UK. An old model but good reviews, Leica lens, viewfinder (which was important to me) - Keep an eye on there and you should pick up a bargain.
