    HI

I live in a midlands village with very little coverage. It is located effectively in a valley. It is located 2.5 miles from the nearest exchange, too far for service.

National Satellite broadband was provided and whats left in terms of satellite service after the scheme was terminated is little better than dial up speed, from 5pm onwards, during the day it generally but not always usable.

The national fibre optic actually passes through the village, this I know because I spent months of my miserable life waiting at traffic lights :/

There is 4g LTE Antenna approx 1.5 miles away and multiple GSM antenna at same location.

IN our community there are 40/50 houses.

Ideally I am looking for a community based result, some means of boosting or buying a service for everyone in the community.

Any ideas out there, even where to start?

    Thanks

Thanks ED E appreciate the information, I have dropped big Lar a note. He is in Waterford so a long way away but hopefully, he has an idea for me.

When I get to the end of my investigations I will put a note up on this thread,

    Thanks

The B4RN (Broadband for the Rural North) is a community-owned, gigabit Fibre To The Home (FTTH) network in the scarcely populated, deeply rural uplands of Lancashire.
