Hi, I'm looking to replace our old 42inch tv.  We just have an aerial on the roof, picking up RTE from Cairn Hill and BBC, UTV, etc from the transmitter outside Enniskillen.  No satelite dish, etc.

So, I think our installation is pretty basic so not sure whether a fancy tv would ever be worth it to us.

And it looks like a Soundbar is required these days too, so if you could also suggest one, that'd be great!  Thanks!

HI Olkiny, many thanks for your post

Starting in the 48" range, you could have a look at the Sony KDL48705- http://www.richersounds.ie/p-201311-bravia-kdl48w705cbu.aspx at £479 this is a 48" smart TV, includes a 6 year warranty and delivery, and is one of our more popular models

Going up a bit from this is the panasonic TX50as650 - http://www.richersounds.ie/p-200553-viera-tx50as650b.aspx at £549 - a stunning 50" TV, again with delivery and 6 year guarantee included

    To go into a 55" you'd be looking at the SamsungUE55h6400 - http://www.richersounds.ie/p-200299-ue55h6400.aspx at £729

If you want to add a soundbar to the TV, there again are a few models worth looking at.

Firstly the Roth Sub Zero iii - http://www.richersounds.ie/p-201646-sub-zero-iii.aspx at £149 with 2x HDMI inputs an 1 ouptut, along with Bluetooth for streaming music from smart phones/tablets
In the middle range, the Wharfedale Vista 150 - http://www.richersounds.ie/p-201441-vista-150.aspx at £299 which has a seperate subwoofer to give better depth/bass to the overall sound particularly if you would watch a lot of movies
If you want something really great, have a look at the Q Acoustics M4 - http://www.richersounds.ie/c-58-Soundbars.aspx at just £329 this is probably one of the best soundbars under £800 and is well worth the extra

Have a look at the models above, and if you have any other queries, or if something else catches your eye, drop me a post or give me a call on 0333 900 0070 opt2

    Cheers
    Brian
