GRP versus monocoque doors

    Greetings,
Here's a more generic question about doors.

Are GRP doors more prone to failure than monocoque doors, eg warping due to heat?

Are GRP doors with foam filling better at keeping in the heat than monocoque doors?

In any examples that I've been shown (by salespeople) the GRP doors are the more expensive. I personally feel the monocoque doors are better engineered, but the boss didn't like the range of finishes available. She felt that the monocoque looks more 'artificial'.

So if no one comes on here with horror stories about grp, that's what we'll be getting. As long as trade names aren't used, I figure this thread should be ok for simply describing problems with one or the other. On the other hand, perhaps people will come on here and say they've had either or both and no problems were encountered.

    Thanks in advance,
    Andrew C.
