S6 Edge - glass making crackling noise

This morning when I went to turn off the alarm on my edge (which has been sitting in power saving mode overnight), the glass made this loud crackling noise when I did a long press. Same thing happened the other day when I turned it on from cold. Seems to be confined to the upper half of the screen. I expect this is the curved plastic substrate under the glass flexing under certain temperatures. No damage I can notice and it settles down after 10 seconds. Never happens when phone is warmed up.

Just wondering if anyone has experience this ? Nothing on google.
