Posting this for my Dad, hoping some of you might know what's the story!

Having read in Farmers Journal and on the IFA website that for the first time this year an advance AEOS payment will be made in the third week of October. Any of you know if this will happen? As when I called the Dept. of Agri they said no AEOS payments will be made until sometime in December!

Why would the farming organisations say advance in October if they hadn't been told this via the Dept.?

Well here- http://www.ifa.ie/schemes-and-payments/payments-calendar/ they say

GLAS/AEOS/REPS- Advance payment will commence 3rd week in October. Balance will commence when all inspections completed – normally mid-December

I would take that to mean that one or two of the schemes would have payment beginning the third week of October, not necessarily all three to begin at that time.

“I anticipate that payments for the 2015 scheme year will then commence towards the end of November, for all three AEOS schemes,”
