    Hi,

Have absolutely no idea about these, from what I gather I'd be better off going for a Garmin?

I have to get one for work. Have been using phone but data roaming is so expensive I've to get a standalone unit I can carry with me. Need maps for both North America & Europe.

Preferably a larger screen & bluetooth for phone if possible. Company paying, Budget of £250 at a push.

Could you post a link if possible ?

    Thanks in Advance

A much cheaper option would be to keep using the phone but download Nokia's Here app, which has the option to use offline maps, and make sure you've downloaded the maps you need before you go.

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.here.app.maps (Android)

    or

    https://itunes.apple.com/app/id955837609 (IOS)

Thanks. Was literally just looking at that. Do you turn data off when you've downloaded the app & it will still work ok ?

There's an option in the app itself called "Use app offline", so you can leave data on for other things if required. I have that set permanently, so don't know if it gets confused if you turn data off separately, but leave the app in online mode.

The maps can take up a bit of space, but you can download individual countries or states in the US as required to minimize that. All of Europe is 10GB and all of North America is 7GB as a guide. If you have an SD card you can specify in the settings to send the maps there too.
