Icemaker issue

    Hi folks,

I bought a secondhand American style fridge-freezer at the weekend. I hooked up a water filter and supply yesterday and found the water valves had been disconnected.

I reconnected them and so far, so good. The water dispenser works fine and the icemaker makes ice. Unfortunately it won't dispense the ice. There is a long screw auger in the middle of the ice bucket and this does not turn. I presume it could be a switch, a motor, a cable etc., but I've no experience of these, so I'm on the back foot. Should this auger run periodically to stop the ice from freezing into a block? Does it only run when the lever on the door is pressed? All advice appreciated.

Now the bad news; it's a Samsung DS21. I know, I know, I should have Googled it before I bought it, but as they say, we are where we are.

    Update:

Resolved. The microswitch in the dispenser was slightly out of place.
