Allergic to antihistamines

Just thought I'd mention it! Will be seeking further medical tests but am surprised that such a thing could exist.

While taking levocetirizine dihydrochloride i developed an allergy to all perfumes and cleaning products - my face would burn and tingle. I also developed an itchy hivey rash on my chest.

This stopped when I ceased taking the antihistamine.
Started taking piriton which I was doing OK on but recently tried benadryl and immediately developed severe patches of eczema behind my knees. I have never had this before but apparently had it mildly as a baby!

Anyway until I get a full work over from doctor and an allergy specialist I am not taking any more antihistamines.

    Flippin. Perennial allergic rhinitis though.

Anyone out there with a similar story? Not much on the Internet!
