    ***Audi A4 Avant sline***

Thinking of taking a look at this, looks like the car I'm after but I have a few questions.

Is it a genuine s line? ...or are there some tacked on bits there?

Is it a car I'd find hard to sell in a years time? Being that it will be over 10 years old then... Does the fact it's an estate hurt its resale value? Anything I should look out for when viewing.

Can't answer most of your questions, but running the reg thru motorcheck.ie seems to show it as a genuine SLINE ok

It's an almost 11 year old car costing 5k, it has already suffered most of it's depreciation so I wouldn't worry too much about resale value. Tidy A4s have no problem selling and always make decent money.

Was it sold recently to the current seller?
Googling the name on the service invoices (Owen grey parks) brings up this ad from a few weeks ago
    http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/audi-a4-avant-s-line/10510851

Illegal number plates have been added since the old ad. Are they worth €300 ;)

    VEHICLE
    Vehicle Registration Number 05LK6784
    Vehicle Details AUDI / A4
    Change Of Vehicle Ownership
Transferred to an Individual on :

    Notified on : 02/10/2015

    07/10/2015

Seems a bit soon to be selling?

It could have been taken on a trade in for something else.

Either way very nice looking car and definitely a proper S line although the front bumper is aftermarket. Not sure on Avants but if it was a saloon thats around the right money.

Front bumper is non-standard, and bonnet shows a gap above radiator but not wings - did it get a tap at the front end at any stage?

You are a legend. The only thing putting me off this car was the skang number plate, "family car" my arse. In a way I'm glad you found the car previously for sale. And yeah as the next poster mentioned there is something off with the front of the car, the bonnet not sitting right. Also in the second DD ad there seems to be a nice little sent on the boot lid.

Back to the drawing board. Estate diesel, 2004+ sub €5k, no BMWs and extreme comfort needed.

I woildbt completely rule it out but know that the seller hasn't a clue about the car as he's only just got it. I get the impression the previous seller knew his stuff.

    It's bodywork/interior will be S-Line but it's not an S4 if I'm correct?

Yes, s line is just a trim level. Like an r line on a VW or M sport on a BMW of F Sport on a Lexus. Kinda nods at the halo model.

Seriously? My mother had those exact plates on a brand new Passat, how could you possibly let that worry you :o it's a diesel Audi estate, I don't think it's been used as a drift car or anything :D
