Munster League Div 2 2015-2016

Well it’s that time of year again and the league season is about to start. No fixtures have been published yet. Only four teams this year for div 2. Dungarvan, Cork B, Charleville and Mallow. St Michaels have pulled out in a dispute over the time controls for this season.

It will be interesting to see if some of their better players will leave them and play for other teams or form a team of their own. It’s sad to think that developing players will lose out because of one person’s objections to the new time controls that were voted for by the majority of members that attended Septembers AGM. So much for the democratic vote.

Also it’s regrettable that there is no team from Waterford again:( this year or the premier county.

It looks like there will also be a Limerick B team in Division 2 this year according to the MCU website.
As you say it is a pity that St. Michaels have dropped out and that Waterford are not active in the Munster League these days. Ten years or so ago there used to be a third division. But there is still some time if there are other clubs out there who are interested ;)
