2016 BMW 5 series Business Edition

Pal is looking at a new 5 series, he is aware he is buying in the runout year, the new model will be launched the tail end of next year for 2017 delivery. My advice is to hold off until the Business Edition comes out, as BMW did with the E90 and E60. Usually about €5K worth of kit thrown in.

Anyone have any inside scoop on an runout offers, or when they may be offered?

E60 Business Edition arrived in 2009 with the F10 arriving in 2010 so maybe in the last year of the F10. 2016 ish?

Just because they did it with the previous model is no guarantee they will do it with the f10.
It already comes with a lot of kit that the e60 didn't have, and still sells strongly so they may have no need to
The promotion for 2016 that BMW are running is giving extra kit on the 1 and 3 series but not the 5 which would seem to suggest they don't need to.
If he wants to buy let him and maybe he could negotiate some extras that he would like himself?

The F10 is still a very good seller for BMW even though it's going on 6 years old. It also has a fairly good standard spec these days so not sure they will launch a Business Edition. But as we and UK get the same base specs they could launch a Business Edition or increase the base spec come April or May to fill the order books for the reg change here in July and September in the UK.

    Hard to say really though.

E60 Business Edition added Business Navigation and leather to the 5 Series - both of which are standard now on the F10.

Possibly might add the professional navigation as an upgrade, or maybe even do the Autobox FOC again, but I haven't heard anything.

Only confirmed last week that the offers on the 1 & 3 Series will carry on in the New Year, so BMW don't usually announce this sort of thing too far in advance.
