    Hi,

Just enquiring does anyone know a good website/video tutorials to learn finger picking on the guitar. I'm teaching myself and I have the standard chords down but I want to progress to playing tabs.

If anyone has any suggestions I would so gladly appreciate it. I find myself getting bored of strumming chords and I don't want to lose interest in playing.

    Thanks in Advance.
    Gill

    JustinGuitar.com is pretty solid.
    http://www.justinguitar.com/

ultimate-guitar.com also has a lot of tabs, haven't been around those parts for ages though so not sure if much has changed.

Check out some stuff on youtube too, always something to stumble across.
Also, don't stick to on method of learning, watch videos, listen to music, read books and don't forget to have fun playing.

    Good luck with it

Thank you so much for your help. I have found ultimateguitar.com good for getting chords but it's learning the tabs and to learn new tricks is really what I'm aiming for to better myself.

Also I'm thinking about updating my guitar so if anyone knows any affordable acoustic guitar brands with a good sound that I should look into, that would be appreciated too. I have an Sx acoustic at the moment. But I think I need something new.

    Thanks again

    Where are you based?

If in Cork I'd be happy to give you a free fingerpicking lesson.
