    Hi Guys

    This is my first post.

I am just quite frustrated really...... Looking for work but No one wants to Hire me for some reason weather it’s a professional job or as small as Temporary sales assistant Christmas staff.

Don’t know what differently I need to do to get a job, i have been sincerely and tirelessly looking for work for a long time but kept on being ignored. Don't know what to do.

God knows if it is something to do with my ‘Name’ or am i just not good enough!
At least have me for an interview to see if i have got what it takes to work for your organisation, do not bin my CV or ignore it.

I need some help to find work, can someone really help me to get a job? It’s 4.30 am and i am still up sending CV’s.

I might be a person your organisation looking for.

    Kind Regard’s

I used to get Christmas work in Dunnes in the store over the Christmas period when I was struggling. Also try Guinness's as they take on seasonal staff.

I have applied at almost every job available online at the minute, having 10+ years experience in Fashion Retail, plus recently worked at an IT firm as an Intern Business Analyst seems like my luck has just ran out. Still in college doing part time Spring Board level 7 course in Digital Marketing.

Hi Ubs, get yourself out there making contacts. Join lots of clubs, tell everyone you meet that you are looking for work. Hopefully something will come along soon. Also, and please take this as constructive criticism - there are quite a few spelling and grammar errors in your first post. I know it's hard typing on boards but make sure your applications and cv are checked by someone with good spelling and grammar before you send them in. Good luck!

Were you being serious by saying "is it something to do with my name" or was that just said out of frustration?

I was in the exact same position as you it seemed like nomatter how much I tried I could not find work so in the end I moved to the UK and I've not been out of work the past 5 years , sorry to say but the home country is in a sad state of affairs too many people applying for the same position

Have you shown anyone your cv or your cover letter?

And by anyone, I mean a recruiter, manager, senior business person, HR etc?

The reason I ask is, as I said in a different thread, spelling mistakes and grammar mistakes can discount you from the start (I'm sure that your CV is better than the question you posted above where you have a few spelling a grammar issues). If you're not getting past the first hurdle, then it could be something that simple.

Cover letters are your introduction to a recruiter

Have you signed up with any recruitment agencies?

As i have mentioned above i did my intern in an IT firm, also i had an interviews with ESB, Fidelity Investment etc. with the same cv so i presume its nothing to do with the CV. Also English is not my first Language even though i have been living here for 15 years my writing skill is still not up to the mark as compare to when i speak.

Even get a friend to critique it. Most people have had to do a CV at some point so most people have some experience with doing them.

Hey, I've just set up my own business doing cv's, detailed job application forms (scenario based applications), as well as grant applications. I'm still building my portfolio so if you think it will help send me a PM and I will do a free check and rewrite for you.

Great service. You should put your website into your signature.

Ah thanks, I do a lot of reviewing academic papers\ essays and in the last few years was doing a lot of cv's and applications for friends, so I decided to give it a try! Let's see if I'm of any use to the OP!

Advertising in signatures is against the rules.

    Great offer to the OP:)
