Should I buy 2010 VW Passat

I am currently in a position where I can finally buy my dream car. VW Passat. Well....I have one, but it's a 2003 and starting to show her age. I've always wanted to upgrade to a newer model.

With my 2003 passat though, she drives well, never let's me down BUT.....Anytime she does need something doing it's so feckin expensive.

Like I said, I can now afford to get a 2010 passat from my local dealership. He's asking 10,500 for it and will take my passat as a trade in.

Anyway....My question is, if I buy this car will I still find myself spending stupid money to change clicking cv joints, arms, ball joints etc?

I don't know an awful lot about cars mechanically, only to look out for what has already gone with cars I've previously had.

Any advice would be great asap!

    Thanks

    James

If you could stretch to the facelifted 2011 model they made alot of improvements to the car including the suspension setup.

Thanks for the response lads. Think we're going different altogether and getting a brand new car with Warrenby and service. Will save the dream passat for when I can afford it myself. Have a separate family car instead :-)
