So as it states in the title - dummy here Spilt red wine on her macbook pro... Stupidly cleaning up after dinner on Sunday night... had music playing on the laptop on kitchen table and as I was wiping the table I just tipped my glass with the cloth and the glass just topples over onto my laptop... Of course, me being the wino that I am :/ was more upset that id spilt my last glass of wine at the time....:eek: I turned to Google and someone said to keep it upside down and take the battery out and try wipe away the excess wine then leave for 48 hours. I've just put the laptop back together there and it eventually came on but the keyboard wont work now.... I'm not sure if the fans are working either. I know I'm going to have to get it looked at but I'm skint at the mo!! Does anyone know how much I'd be looking at to get it fixed up? I only forked a small fortune back in may on a new battery, track pad and hard drive coz the thing died on me I'm so annoyed with myself

    depends on what's been affected.

If it's just the keyboard, then it won't be too bad.
But if it's the logic board, then your looking at a good few hundred.

Only way to find out is to get someone to look at it for you.

Yeah if it's the logic board you could be looking at a price up to €1000, similar thing happened to me a couple of years ago and it was around €1200 I think which was more than half the cost of a new laptop.... But it needed most of the main components replaced.

Just on a side note your house insurance (if you have any) might actually cover this as accidental damage, mine did.
