I've had a nasty Razo accelerator pedal cover on my car since I bought it and now its time to get rid of it.

I've been looking online for a replacement pedal rubber for the car (99 Starlet) but can't seem to source one.

Anyone have any experience getting these at a motor factors or would a breakers be my best bet? Thanks

Toyota dealer ask them to order one in. It be as cheap as eBay or motor factors who are unlikely to have them.

Check your car actually should have a rubber cover for accelerator pedal as most cars only have them for clutch and brake pedal

    Go to a scrap yard!

Are you sure it's not behind the aftermarket pedal?

I know you can fit them over the rubber but its not there on mine!

Tried the Toyota main dealer already and they only supply the entire pedal.

I'm thinking maybe a breakers yard. Strange that you can't find them on the likes of micksgarage.com. They're like any other replacement part for a car.

Why would "Mick's Garage"or other factor carry this? a lot are model specific anyway. Scrap yard is best bet.

There would be infinite different sizes, clips etc, it's not generally something that people replace. They normally outlive the rest of the car.
I'd say a breakers would be a good idea, a plastic from a similar generation Corolla would probably be the same.
You could be surprised by the main dealer prices it mightn't be a whole lot.

That pedal features in pretty much 99% of 90's toyotas too. Definitely a scrap yard job. Any corolla, carina, rav4, avensis etc etc.

Sorry, you're correct. I took the whole lot off there and its hidden away behind the aftermarket clips and adhesive.

Such a pointless setup unless you're mad into how your pedals look. Adds an extra half inch in height and takes up space between the pedals.

In future I'll do the DIY before I ask the questions :o

Those aftermarket pedals would be a universal fitment, so they'd keep the original plastic bit. Otherwise you'd need loads of different ones.
