    Is this one any good or can you please recommend one that is middle of the road price wise. Asking for my son. He will be using PS4 on it and hoping to get a gaming of at Christmas.

    Yeah benq are great monitors, I've got a Benq GL2460hm, never had any trouble. Had to play around with the settings initially but thats commonplace with monitors in general. Should be perfectly fine with a ps4

    Yeah for a gaming pc at 60 fps and 1080p resolution it would be a great monitor.

    They're great monitors if you take Counter Strike or Street Fighter very seriously, but for a PS4 or anybody not playing twitch-games an IPS panel would look much better and have no discernable negative effect.
    If he ever plays games with others around also looking at the screen a TN screen is a bit wonky, viewing angles are pretty shite.

    I'd go for this one.

    +1 for IPS panels, dont have much experience in any other monitors but after being recommended a IPS monitor a couple year ago on here I havent looked back. Ive an LG 22EA53 which is discontinued unfortanetely, but its a great monitor apart from the stand.
