I bought a DVB-T USB tuner a few years ago from some Chinese seller on ebay, im attempting to use it now but im not sure if it works (No channels found after scanning countless times). If anyone could help me with this i would appreciate it. Currently i am using the following setup:

    BlazeVideo HDTV player
RTL2832U & R820T, if you google "dvb-t+dab+fm" you will find it quickly, its a black dongle with a very small antenna.(though i don't have the CD or remote anymore)

I have tryed to scan for other things using SDR sharp to no avail, though i may have not been using it correctly.

    Thanks in advance

The very small aerials supplied with these dongles are only suitable for VERY strong signal areas. Have you tried connecting a proper outdoor DTV aerial?

I want to but im not sure what adapter i would need, seeing as how the dongles USB wire is very small. Could i simply cut the cord of the small antenna and attach the center wire to the antenna wire leading to the outdoor aerial? The wire structure looks very similar. I also have a few antennas that are much larger than the one provided with the dongle, but im not sure if they would be compatible as they came with a device made for WiFi, which is 2.4 GHz. They also have a different connector, so i would have to find an adapter for that too :/

Are you getting FM radio? If not you might not have it installed correctly as regards drivers and software. The FM signal should be OK.

Is the TV signal V or H - I think those aerials have a magnetic base, so try sticking it onto a radiator so you have an earth plane - should help.

Im not even sure of how to get FM radio with this, could you recommend some software? Im not sure if BlazeVideo detects those when scanning or if i have to tweak some stuff in order to get FM.

Im not sure if the TV signal is V or H. The aerial isn't magnetic, but ill give it a go and post results if anything changes.

The cable you are looking for is called an "RF Coaxial to MCX"

They are about a euro on ebay.

Your aerial should be pointing at Mt Leinster. Channels 23 and 26.
