Mira Shower / Shower Doctors

    Hi

I have a Mira events power shower

When you turn the power twisty to the right, it sometimes doesn't turn the machine off

I had the same problem last November and got Shower Doctors to replace

They say the replacement part only had a 3 month warranty

Does anyone know what the part is and can I replace it myself rather than shell out another 110 euro?

    Thanks

If you go to the Mira website and find your shower model there should be a "exploded" view your shower with the parts and part number and order it.

Take dial off. Take cover off. Turn cog inside the event all the way off. Put cover and dial back on. This should solve your problem.

After buying a power shower for over 500 plus installation you would expect better quality build (Mira power and electric showers really aren't a good quality at all) and a better back up service. You can buy an aqualisa aquastream for around 600 Euro. It comes with a 3 years parts and Labour warranty (mira event only has 1 year warranty). If you pay to get it repaired outside the warranty period the parts are covered by a 2 years warranty.

Mira are horrible to deal with and theirelectric and power showers are rubbish.

    Thanks for info

Your fix seems to have worked. Fair play, much appreciated

Shower Doctors certainly weren't going to stand over their work for more than 3 months and It was the exact same issue
