Hi, I looking at a straight swap of my Horstmann H37XL heating controls for controls that can be remotely set via tablet or phone via the house wifi. Can anyone suggest heating controls that could be simple straight swap??
    Thanks

    "Straight swap"

You may have prevented any advice by the way you phrased your question.
Anyway have a look at this link for some ideas.

I'm interested in one of these also but my two thermostats are only two wire into the back (no live wire) is there a wireless option to suit without rewiring?
    Thx

Seems great value Dtp. Is there an ongoing charge, or is it just a once off purchase?
I cant find that info on their website. Omitted information always makes me suspicious.

I don't know much about them yet. Just got their email yesterday.

Just got an email from my brother-in-law; he had been looking for something like this. I mentioned SmartZone to him after seeing it mentioned here. Here is the reply he got from them to a question asking if there were any ongoing charges.

****None "name deleted", just €300 Euros a year in energy savings. Assuming suitability, installation is about 3 hours with minimal disruption as its all wireless. Of course you just have internet, and we take care of everything. Control you heating zones and hot water zone from anywhere and get real time data on your system and adjust as you wish via smartphone, tablet, or PC.****

This on the face of it looks the very sort of control that people are looking for. And Irish to boot.

I am going to see if they will send me an installation manual or do an installation course. They need to give a few of these to some of the regular posters here, so that they can have independent testing. ;)
