Garda Recruitment - Stage Failed

Haven't seen this thread on here. Instead of having all the stuff on thread clogging it up. I though we can start this to vent our anger and or next steps.

So I dropped out a stage three, I asked for a recheck of exams but upon further thinking I am just going to leave it for a few years. I am in the Reserves and the hours just seem mental for the full time (eg court on days off, or court on days on at 10/11am then you could be in 5/6pm till 4am and the starting pay of 23k has put me off along with the handling of the process, it took two years for me to get a fail. In a way I am glad I got some closure on it. But very frustrating to wait so long.

I failed on the job simulation by 10 points and note writing I know myself I made a mess of it. Surprisingly and also a bit of embarrassment with been in the Reserves.

Dunno what more to say really!

I am going to do finish college and see where/if I would like to try again. I suppose it would be my ideal career but I guess I have been disheartened at this stage of the game, and am tired and thankful its over.

You have every right to be annoyed I certainly would be after that length of time. I failed on one section at the application stage I too made a complete mess of it. A new campaign is due to start early next year and I plan on going for it again, ive been waiting 3 years for the reserves and have been given temporary dates for a November intake so hopefully all goes well with the reserves and if I don't get the full time next time around I still have youth on my side and the reserve to keep me busy.
